Now Let’s get into This Week in CanucksLand,

The Canucks faced off against the Anaheim Ducks in a still must win game with a small chance to make the playoffs to keep their hopes alive. They are now with Aman and Myers on top of the Pettersson and Hoglander injuries so Max Sasson and Victor Mancini make their returns to the lineup. The game started with the ducks getting zone time but the canucks would come black with a shot that would be stopped and then the ducks would come back and they would get one past Demko thanks to Troy Terry for his twentieth of the year to take an early 1-0 lead. Later the Canucks would come back with two chances for Boeser that would both be stopped by Dostal. The game would go back and forth for a bit until the Ducks would get a good chance with Zellweger getting denied by Demko. He would make another on Vatrano later. After the Canucks’ rush got stopped the Ducks would get a shot from the point that would be stopped. Later the Canucks would get good zone time and it would end in a chance set up by Garland for Marcus Pettersson that would be stopped by Dostal. Soon after the Canucyks would come back on a rush and Linus Karlsson would skate in and set up D Petey who blasted it home for his first of the year and in the NHL to tie the game. The Ducks would come back and Mctavish’s shot would hit the post and somehow under Demko. Later after a bad clear from Gudas the Canucks would take advantage and Blueger would find Hronek and his shot would deflect off a stick and Knuckle ball into the net for his fifth of the year to take a 2-1 lead. Right after the goal Killorn would take a hooking call and the Canucks would go to their fist powerplay of the game. The powerplay would start with the Canucks having control and after some passing and cycling around Boeser would find himself in the slot and a Hughes shot pass would deflect off his stick for his twenty fifth of the year to take a 3-1 lead. The Abby Canucks line would put good pressure and then after a partial chance they would draw another penalty and would play keep away until Sherwood would get a shot that would be stopped. The Powerplay would start with the Canucks in possession and Boeser would get a shot that would miss the net that Ducks would clear and on the entry Hughes would be left wide open and he would send on for a rebound and Garland would put it home for his nineteenth of the year to take a 4-1 lead in the first. Later the Canucks would strike again with a shot on goal from Marcus Pettersson would get deflected right to Joshua who would put it home for his sixth of the year to take a 5-1 lead. Killorn would hit the crossbar on a good chance for Killorn. The Canucks would put on more pressure and would get a cross crease chance that wouldn’t be completed and the Ducks would clear. Later Leo Carlsson would get a good chance and a deflected shot from the point would hit the post as the Ducks would put good pressure on the Canucks. The Canucks would come down on a 3 on 2 and Sherwoods shot would get stopped. Great period for the Canucks can’t get much better than five goals.

The Second would start with a 2 on 1 for the Canucks and Garland would miss the net on his shot. Later after a bad pass from Hronek Mctavish would come in on a rush and after he couldn’t get a shot on goal he would send it to Gudas for a one timer that would miss the net and bounce right to Zegras who would put it home for his of the year to cut the lead to 5-2. My telus would glitch again and it would jump to 12 minutes left and so that point would start with some back and forth play until Cutter Guethier would get a shot that Demko would steer aside. Lundestrom would get a chance that would be held out by Demko but they would get another one that Nesterenko would put on but Demko would stop that one too. Debrusk would get a chance that would be stopped and he would swing one through the crease soon after but wouldn’t find a teammate. Later Zegras would spin one to Zellweger and his shot would be stopped by Demko. Play would go back and forth for a bit until D Petey would take an interference penalty and send the Ducks to their second powerplay of the game. The powerplay would not go well for the Ducks as they would be chasing the puck in their own zone a lot and it would eventually end with a chance that would miss the net and the Canucks would get another kill. A bit after the Ducks would get a shot that would be stopped by Demko. The Canucks would put on some pressure and a shot from the point would be blocked and the rebound would miss all the Canucks in the slot and leave the zone. Play would go on until the end of the period and it would end in a 5-2 lead for the Canucks. Can’t complain still up 5-2 as long as they hold the lead in the third we will be fine.

The third would start with some back and forth play until Max Sasson would steal the puck on the blueline and go in on a breakaway and he would slide it five hole past Dostal for his third of the year to take a 6-2 lead. Play would go back and forth for a bit until the Ducks would get a shot from the point that would be stopped by Demko. The Ducks would put on good pressure looking to come back into the game and they would get a good chance off a rebound but it would get cleared out of the crease before Vatrano could get to it. Later the Ducks would look to score again with Zellweger getting a shot from the point and Demko would get that and the rebound to keep the puck out. The Ducks would come in with another shot but it would get swallowed up by Demko. Killorn would get a shot from the point that Demko would handle. Later Boeser would hit a post after the puck bounced off a ref. The Canucks would continue to pressure with Macini getting a chance but he would miss the net. Karlsson would get stopped after Forbort would send a great pass over to him. Play would continue for a bit until the Canucks would come in and get some chances ending in a Raty shot that Dostal would glove down. The Ducks would get a shot from the point that would hit the post and fall behind Demko the Canucks would clear to the line and another shot would be blocked. Play would continue until the end of the game and the Canucks would take the game 6-2 in a huge maybe too late win but a win nonetheless.
