The Canucks would start the four game homestand facing the Ducks two games after they played them last. This game would be played without Quinn Hughes and Jonathan Lekkermakki would join the team for his twelfth game of the year. The Canucks would start with some pressure, Boeser puts it off Gibson's pad and it bounces up over him and he swings his glove back and grabs it, what an amazing save to start the game. Canucks would get some pressure with Lekkermakki missing a one tee in the slot. Both teams would go back and forth with Pettersson getting a one tee from the point that would be stopped by Gibson. Ducks would come back but the Canucks would turn it around and Hronek would get a shot from the point. McTavish would shoot one off the mask of Lankinen and the Canucks would get into the zone but it would be turned around and on a deflected pass would land on the stick of Leason and he would hit the post. Play would continue going back and forth with both teams getting chances. Later Sherwood would shoot the puck and it would bounce out to Vatrano who would get a shot and the Canucks would hold for a bit until the Ducks touched and Strome would be called for slashing. Canucks powerplay would start horrible with the Ducks keeping them out and when they set up they’d get a shot and it would come out. It would continue with the Canucks finally setting up and they would get a shot that would be stopped by Gibson. Canucks would win the draw and set up and they wouldn’t get a shot off until after the powerplay with Pettersson getting it. Play would continue with the Canucks getting in and getting a shot and the rebound would pop out to Debrusk but Chytil would take it from him. The Ducks would come into the Canucks zone and a shot from the point would be tipped/reflected in by Colangelo for his third of the year to take a 1-0 lead. After a shot from Garland and him getting hit by Gudas. Gudas would crosscheck D Petey in the face after he moved in for a shot sending the Canucks to the powerplay with Gudas getting two for roughing. After a Pettersson shot on the powerplay the Canucks would chase the puck until 30 seconds left where they would get a chance and it would leave the zone and they wouldn’t get anything set up in time and the powerplay would end. Play would continue with the Ducks getting a chance with Zegras setting up a Duck for a shot in the slot that Lankinen would save. The Ducks would set up and shoot a couple of times but the Canucks would block them and the period would end with a 1-0 Ducks lead. The Canucks looked good 5 on 5 in this period but they couldn’t beat Gibson. If they keep up this pace and get a petter powerplay they should get some goals.

The second would start with the Ducks putting pressure on but they would do that too much as Strome would crosscheck Myers sending the Canucks to the powerplay again. The Canucks would start with a great chance but it would be sent down and they would do a quick up with Boeser passing to Debrusk who would roof it for his twenty second of the year to tie the game. Play would continue back and forth for a bit until D Petey would get a shot from the point that would be stopped by Gibson. Later Marcus Pettersson would take a hooking penalty sending the Ducks to their first powerplay. After a Canucks clear chaos would ensue when the Ducks would get it back down as a shot would turn into a scramble and another shot would be blocked and the Canucks would clear. They would get back in a set up passing it around for a bit and Rassmussen would get a  shot that would be stopped by Gibson. Play would continue until the Canucks would come into the Zone with Blueger taking it in and he would take Tochett’s advice and fire it home for his sixth of the year to take a 2-1 lead. Later the Canucks would come down on a 2 on 1 and Chytil would throw it over to O’Conner and he would try to stop to lessen the collision but he would get called for Goalie interference and Gibson would leave the game meaning Dostal would take over in net. Canucks would clear right away on the powerplay and then again after the Ducks reentered the zone. They would set up and the puck would squeak over to the blueline and the Canucks would get it and clear again. The Canucks would get two more clears and right after the powerplay ends they would get a 2 on 1 and Pettersson would make a great pass but a great defensive play would stop Sherwood from getting the shot off. Joshua would get a chance from Garland but wouldn’t get the shot off. They would get a couple tries but wouldn’t hit the net. After a couple of icings and some pressure from the Ducks the Canucks would come down and set up and cycle the puck and a shot from Soucy would beat Dostal but Sherwood was in the crease and the Ducks would challenge. The refs would call it a good goal due to the Ducks Dman pushing him and keeping him in the crease. Sending the Canucks to their fourth powerplay. The Ducks would have possession and waste thirty seconds and the Canucks would get a shot on goal and a backdoor chance they couldn’t put on goal but the period would end with a 3-1 lead. Great period they played just like the first and they got three goals like I thought they would.

Canucks would start the third on the powerplay and they would get a shot early that would be stopped by Dostal. Canucks would try to get two more chances but they wouldn’t score and the powerplay would end. Canucks would get another shot later from the point that would be stopped. After not being able to set up Lekkermakki Chytil would get a shot later that would be stopped. Later Pettersson would set up Garland for a one tee that would miss the net. The Ducks would get some zone time but it would end in a save from Lankinen. Later D Petey would get a shot on goal and there would be some rough stuff after the whistle. After the scuffle it would be 4 on 4. Anaheim would control for most of it but it would be until ten seconds left when they would get two chances. Later the Canucks would come in with Lekkermakki getting two chances that were stopped and later Garland would get one but Dostal would save it. The Ducks would set up and get some chances but Lankinen would hold. Off the draw the Canucks would hold with Garland setting up Joshua for a good chance that would be stopped. The Cancks would keep the pressure up with great chances but coming back on the rush Dumoulin would put a rebound home for his third of the year to cut the lead in half. The Canucks would come back with Dostal making a great save on Boeser. Garland would come back and draw a hooking penalty and would waste time with the delayed penalty but the Ducks would get the puck and the Canucks would go to the powerplay. The Canucks wouldn’t get a goal on the powerplay but they would waste two crucial minutes. After a Ducks timeout the Ducks would set up but a pass would be deflected out and they would have to reenter but it would leave again. They would set up but the puck would go out of play with a minute to go. Forbort would get it out off the draw but the Ducks would come back but the Canucks would get it out and Blueger would miss the empty net and the Ducks would come back but the Canucks would ice it. After the whistle Garland and Zegras would fight and Touba, Lacombe, Forbort and Blueger getting a scuffle and the puck would come out of the zone and the Canucks would win the game 3-2 in a good game overall with a unlucky first and third I thought they had a great game and if they keep it up should look good.
