The Canucks would face the Wild beat up wild at home in a game where they could take the second wildcard spot. No Quinn Hughes again in the lineup. And I’m doing this review off the highlights as I didn't catch the game. Both teams would start out with chances but the biggest one being Middleton getting a rebound but Lankinen would stop it. Later the Canucks would be on the powerplay and they would do a tic tac toe play between Boeser Hronek and Pettersson who would blast his twelfth of the year for a 1-0 lead. Later near the end of the period Keifer Sherwood and Ryan Hartman would fight with Sherwood getting an early tackle and the fight ending early. The first would end with a 1-0 Canucks lead.

The second would start with Johansson getting a good chance that would be stopped by Lankinen and speak to the other side but it would be cleared. Later Sherwood would come up the ice and send it over to Pettersson who would make a spin move and try to put it in on the forehand but would lose it the puck would end up in a frenzy and Joshua would get a shot and it would be cleared. Trenin would get a good shot on goal that would be stopped. On the powerplay the Canucks would get a good chance as DeBrusk would go cross crease to garland but it would be stopped by Gustavsson. They would continue with the chances on the powerlay but they wouldn’t beat Gustavsson and the Wild would come down on a 2 on 1 and Myquist would hit the post and when the canucks would come back DeBrusk would get a chance that would be stopped and the Period would end in a 1-0 lead still for Vancouver.

The third would start with Johansson getting a back hand that would be stopped and he’d try for a wraparound that would be slapped away by Hronek. On the powerplay the Wild would get two good chances but Lankinen would stop them both. Later on the powerplay Myers stick would break causing a chance for the wild with Rossi being stopped by Lankinen in front but the Wild would get it back with Rossi getting another chance that would be stopped and they would still have it with them passing it around ending in a Faber one tee that would beat Lankinen for his seventh of the year to tie the game. Another scramble in front of the Canucks net would be held out. Later Devin Shore would hit the post. The wil would get more chances that Lankinen would hold. After a pass from Hoglander Sherwood would take it behind the net and put it in front and it would bounce out to Hronek and he would pass it to Sherwood on the other side of the net and he would bury it for his of the year to retake the lead. Later the Canucks would come in with Cytil getting stopped on the backhand the Canucks would hold the lead and Blueger would chase down the puck and make a great play to get the empty netter to make it 3-1 and the Canucks would take it 3-1 and get two crucial points and jumping Calgary for the second wildcard spot.
