The Canucks finished out the road trip in Seattle and before I started I missed a lot of the game due to the Elimination Chamber and the shock of the ending. So I'm doing this review of the highlights. The Canuckw Would get a chance with Sherwood getting a shot from afar the was stopped. Then later Hughes would make a bad pass that would result in a Seattle 3 on 2 with Shane Wright making a pass to Burakovsky who would put it home on a beautiful shot for his sixth of the year to give the Kraken a 1-0 lead. Later on a great forechecking play by Sherwood he would put great pressure on and when Larsson passes the puck Hoglander would do the same on Vince Dunn leading to a turnover that went right to Pius Suter who would put it home for a career high sixteenth goal of the year to tie the game. The Canucks would come back with Joshua taking the puck down the left side and firing one of the posts. On a broken play for both teams with Suter fanning on a shot and Seattle turning it over Jake DeBrusk would get a shot that would hit the post as well. Off the draw with about three and a half minutes left in the first Myers would one tee a shot from the point that would be partially blocked by a Seattle stick, but find it’s way to Filip Chytil in front who would turn and shoot it past Daccord for his thirteenth of the year to take a 2-1 lead and that's how the first would end.
The Canucks would start on the powerplay in the second and would get a chance as it ended with Garland looking for Debrusk on a shot pass that would hit the post. Later Seattle would win a battle in the corner with the puck going back to the blueline and Montour would shoot it on goal and it would be tipped by Bjorkstrand past Kevin Lakinen for his sixteenth of the year to tie the game. Later Joshua would pick up a turnover in the Canucks zone shorthanded. He would pass it to O’Conner and they would go down on a 2 on 1 and O’Conner would pass it back Joshua would make a great move on Daccord and score his Fourth of the year to retake the lead for Vancouver. Later off a draw Dunn would blast a shot on goal that would be tipped by Beniers past Lankinen for his fourteenth of the year to tie the game again for Seattle. Later Hughes would have it in the Canucks zone and when he would try to make a play his stick would break and Seattle would turn it into a goal with Ryker Evans shooting it on and Tolvanen would tip it past Lankinen for his seventeenth of the year to take a 4-3 lead. The Canucks would get a chance later with Chytil breaking in on a rush but it would be steered aside by Daccord and Seattle would head into the third with the lead.
Burakovsky would kick off the third with a chance that would be stopped by Lankinen. Later right as the powerplay was ending McCann would go behind the net and make a pass to the middle that would go past three players on to the stick of Montour who would blast it past Lankinen for his eleventh of the year to extend Seattle lead to 5-3. With just under nine minutes to go Chytil would knock down a puck and pass to O’Conner for a one timer that would be stopped and covered. With a minute and a half left in the game Daccord would go for a goalie goal and it would be gloved down by Myers and he would pass it to Garland who would hold and try to make a pass to Hronek and it would miss him and Dunn would pass it to Tolvanen who would walk in and put home the empty netter for his eighteenth of the year to ice the game. Later Debrusk would split the D for a chance but it would be stopped and the Canucks would fall 6-3 in embarrassing fashion to the Kraken in a game they came out strong in but couldn’t finish.
