The Canucks faced off against the Stars in a matchup that is on my birthday which is nice and they would look to make a miracle happen as they can still make the playoffs with a 1 percent chance but it looks to be over. The game would start with a chance for Joshua that DeSmith would stop. Marchment would get a chance that would be stopped by Demko. Later on the powerplay the Stars would take advantage with Wyatt Johnston finding Mikko Rantanen for a one tee that he would bury for his thirty second of the year to take a 1-0 lead. The Canucks would come back with Boeser Finding Debrusk for a redirect that would somehow stay out. Later on another powerpay the Stars would capitalize again with Benn finding Marchment in front for a quick shot that would beat Demko for his twenty first of the year to take a 2-0 lead. That's how the first period would end as the Canucks trail.

The second would start with a break for the Stars as Steel would power his way to the front on a great effort but Demko would sleep the puck out on a nice save. Later the Start would be on the powerplay again and on an amazing passing play Granlund to Benn to Duchane and he would put it home for his thirtieth of the year to extend their lead to 3-0. The Stars would get another chance that Demko would stop. Marschmaent would get a chance Later that Demko would agin stop. The second would end there with the Canucks down 3-0 and not in a great spot.

The third would start with the Canucks on the powerplay and Quinn Hughes behind the net. He would send a long scratch pass to Conor Garland who would find Jake DeBrusk cross ice and he would skate in and go around DeSmith and bank it in off him for his twenty fifth of the year to cut the lead to 3-1 early. Later on the powerplay again Raty would pick the puck out of the corner and pass to Macnini who would walk in with time and space and fire it home for his second of the year to cut the lead to one. Near the end of the third Jason Robertson would have the puck behind the net and he would find Mavrik Bourque in front and he would fire it past Demko for his eleventh of the year to take a 4-2 lead. 24 seconds later Granlund would put the puck in the empty net for his twenty second of the year to seal the game for the Stars the game would run down to one minute left where Marcus Pettersson would steal the puck and find Raty on the left circle and he would put it past DeSmith for his seventh of the year to cut the lead to 5-3. Exactly thirty seconds later Garland would find Suter in front and he would put it past DeSmith for his twenty third of the year and it would be 5-4 now. And with seven seconds to go the Canucks would get one again with Hughes shot missing the net Hronek would find pew pew Suter for his twenty fourth of the year to tie the game at 5 and this game would need overtime.

In overtime the Canucks won possession and Hughes would set up Sutrer for a chance that DeSmith would stop. After a powerplay for the Canucks it would be 4 on 4 and the puck would end up in a tie up behind the net and Garland would win the battle and find Sherwwod in front and he would fire it past DeSmith for his eighteenth of the year to take an amazing 6-5 win.
