The Canucks face off against the St.Louis Blues in another important game where they need these points to push forward towards making the playoffs. Conor Garland joins the team after missing the last game with an injury. The game would start with Pius Suter getting a shot on goal that would be stopped and a blueline shot would redirect on goal and off the pad of Binnington. The Blues would come back with a shot on Lankinen that he would trap in his glove. Later Torpchenko’s shot would be stopped and the rebound would pop out and Lankinene would stay with it and make the second save. Later the Blues would have a chance but Pius Suter would make a great play to stop it. Play would go back and forth for a bit until Neighbours would send a pass in front and Robert Thomas would shoot in but Lankinen would make the save with the left pad. Play would go back and forth for a bit until Thomas would get another chance that would be stopped and after there would be a penalty called on the Faulk for interference sending the Canucks to their first powerplay of the game. The powerplay would start with a clear for the Blues. The Blues would clear four more time and there would be a chance but Hronek couldn’t get to it and on a entry he would be called for interference on a pick play making it 4 on 4 for 41 seconds. The Canucks would have possession for the 4 on 4 but it would end and the Blues would go to the powerplay and after they set up Kyrou would get a chance that Lankinen would keep out. They would keep it in but they would miss the net on all their shots and the Cancusk would clear twice and kill the penalty. Play would continue until Torpchenko would get a shot on goal that Lankinen would save. Holloway would get a shot on goal that would hit the post and it would sit behind Lankinen the Canucks would get it out. The Canucks would get a chance but the period would end in a 0-0 tie. Okay period would’ve liked the powerplay to score but thats okay.

The second would start with a tipped chance for the Canucks that Binnington would stop. Later  after a missed net for the Blues, Conor Garland would get a chance that would be stopped. The Canucks would get really good zone time and would get multiple chances but Binnington would stand tall and after Kyrou would be sent on a rush but wouldn’t get a shot off play would go back and forth for a bit until Linus Karlsson would send on to Blueger cross crease but he couldn’t score. Myers would get a long shot that would be stopped by Binnington. Aman would hit the crossbar and would be close to taking the lead. Later Boeser would get a shot that would be stopped. Play would continue with the Blues getting good zone time but they wouldn’t be able to score. After some more zone time after the draw a shot would be put on goal by Bulduc and it would be tipped by Hughes and in for his thirteenth of the year to take a 1-0 lead for the Blues play would continue until Marcus Pettersson would throw one on goal that would be deflected by Joahua but Binnington would save it. CAnucks would get some zone time but the period would end in a 1-0 blues lead.

For the third i went to highlights cause my cable cut out and i couldn't watch the game until overtime. But the Canucks would start with Sherwood getting a pass at the top of the circle and he would put it home for his fifthteenth of the year to tie the game. Later off a Blues clear the Canucks would come back and Hoglander would find Boeser and he would rip it past Binnington for his 200th career goal his twenty first of the year to take a 2-1 lead. Later off a draw literally Tyler Tucker would blast it past Lankinen for his third of the year to tie the game 2-2. 24 seconds Later the Blues would come in on a rush and Kyrou would find Holloway and he’d bury it for his twenty third of the year to take a 3-2 lead. The Blues would ride that lead until late when they would make a clear and look to have the Canucks beat but they would come back Hughes to Pettersson to Boeser and he’d blast it past Binnington for his twenty second of the year to send the game to overtime with four seconds left in the game.

Overtime would start with Blues winning the draw but Pettersson would send it back and they would give it away right away. The Blues would come in and get stopped. The Blues would skate around the Neutral zone and then Thomas would come in and shoot and then whack at the rebound down to the Blues zone. The Blues would come back in and would cycle a bit but would miss the net on their shot and the Canucks would get the puck and Hughes would come in and get a shot but Binnington would save it. Off the draw, Faulk would give the puck away and HUghes would come in but miss the net. Faulk would come back and hit the post and it would stay out. The Blues would maintain control then Kyrou would come in on a wraparound and Lankinen would make a amazing save and keep the rebound out and after review the call of no goal would stand and overtime would continue. The Canucks would get possession off the draw but then would lose it to the BLues and they would come in and the Canucks would get the puck back and then go up ice. They would lose it and then the Blues would come in on a 2 on 1 and Schenn would send it to Broberg and he would go forehand backhand and put it home to take a 4-3 win in overtime. At least we got a point.
