Now Let’s get into This Week in CanucksLand,

The Canucks started the week against the Dallas Stars in a game where the Stars would take a 4-1 win and the Canucks looked pretty good in the game they just had a problem finishing. They were getting a lot of high danger chances and they looked pretty strong against the cup favorites and they did get one and it was Derrick Forborts first as a Canuck and the year to tie the game at that point but the stars would get 3 more and they would win the game.

The next game was against the Montreal Canadiens and the Canucks looked strong again and were getting chances they just had a problem finishing and the Canadiens took advantage mainly the first line combining for three of the Habs four goal Slafkovsky looked so good in this game and the Canucks would get two with Hronek and Elias Pettersson getting them and starting both of their good weeks but the Canucks would fall 4-2 to the Habs.

The next game was against the Flames and the Canucks would come out strong in this one taking the early lead with a goal from Pius Suter. Nazem Kadri would tie the game with a beautiful move and then the Canucks would strike back with one from DeBrusk off a tip on a Quinn Hughes shot. Jonathan Huberdeau would get two back to back and take the lead for the Flames but Elias Pettersson would send it to extra time with his second in as many games. The overtime wouldn’t solve anything and these teams would need a shootout. Elias Pettersson would start with a goal but Huberdeau would tie. After Sharangovich would get stopped by Lankinen, Conor Garland would bury the winner to get the extra point and tie the Flames in the standings.

The Last game was against the Chicago Blackhawks in a blowout of the game the Canucks would get the first three with Hughes Myers and Garland getting them Hughes had all the time and space in the world and he buried it. Myers through a screen for the second one and Garland with a give and go and a nice move for the third. Alex Vlasic would fire one from the point and get the Hawks on the board. Elias Pettersson would make an amazing move and bury it on a snipe to take the lead. The hawks would get one back on a beautiful shot from Wyatt Kaiser but the Canucks would get two more first off an amazing pass by Sherwood, Nils Aman would put it home for his first of the year. Then Suter would get his second to extend the win to 6-2 and the Canucks would look amazing in an easy game against the Hawks.

The News of the week would only be a small thing with Linus Karlsson signing a 1 way contract for 1 season at a $775,000 I like it and think he will have a good year next year maybe full time with the Canucks.

Now a new thing the three stars of the week I’ll put them at the bottom of the week breakdown from now on. This week's players of the week are:

(F) Elias Pettersson GP 4 G 3 A 2 P 5 SOG 7 H 5 TOI 18:57

FIlip Hronek GP 4 G 1 A 3 P 4 SOG 5 H 4 TOI 25:41

Usually I have a second topic on these articles and I still will but they will now come out as seperate article on Wednesdays.
