The game would start with Cole Caufield sending Nick Suzuki on a break and he would put it in on the backhand for his Twentieth of the year to take an early 1-0 lead.

The Canucks face the Stars in their second game after the deadline. Still no Quinn Hughes whos still out with an injury. The game would start with the Stars applying some pressure and the Canucks would come down on a 2 on 1 and Pettersson would shoot and hit the post.

The Canucks would face the Wild beat up wild at home in a game where they could take the second wildcard spot. No Quinn Hughes again in the lineup.

The Canucks would start the four game homestand facing the Ducks two games after they played them last. This game would be played without Quinn Hughes and Jonathan Lekkermakki would join the team for his twelfth game of the year.

The Canucks finished out the road trip in Seattle and before I started I missed a lot of the game due to the Elimination Chamber and the shock of the ending. So I'm doing this review of the highlights

The Canucks come into Anaheim to close out the back to back against the Ducks. The game started back and forth with Joshua making a good play to enter the zone. Myers would shoot the puck out of play and get a delay of game penalty sending the Ducks to the powerplay.

The Canucks start the back to back in LA facing the Kings. They are coming off two losses coming out of the break and are now out of a playoff spot.

Canucks face Utah in the second game of the back to back after falling 3-1 to Vegas. Silovs would get his first start since November 27th and Victor Mancini would make his Canucks debut 23 days after being traded from the Rangers.

The Canucks come out of the Four Nations break to face the Golden Knights in Las Vegas. The Canucks would win the opening draw and both teams would go back and forth until two and a half minutes in where Dorofeyev would get 2 goo chances but would miss the net and get denied.

This week saw two games for team Canada the first one was against Sweden in a Game that saw Canada come in hot and off a powerplay goal by Mackinnon set up by Crosby showing the full power of the Canadians and they would get a second in the when Point would send one over to Marchand on a 2 on 1 to take a 2-0 lead. Stone would add one after Sweden got their first.

Canucks faced off against the Leafs in their last game before the Four Nations. I was not able to catch the game as I had a anniversary dinner tonight so I’ll be reviewing the highlights. Quinn Hughes would not play tonight making It his fourth game in a row.

The Canucks faced off against the San Jose Sharks in a Thursday night match up. It’s their third game without Quinn Hughes in the lineup so the Canucks look to prove that they cam handle themselves without him.

On Wednesday night the Vancouver Canucks announced that they agreed to terms with Defenceman Marcus Pettersson. The contract details are 6 years at 5.5 million dollars.

The Canucks faced off against the Avalanche on Tuesday night, and Necas opened the game with an early chance. The puck traveled between zones until Chytil got a shot on goal that was stopped. After a quick offside call, Hronek fired a shot to enter the zone, setting up Boeser, but he couldn’t get a shot off.

Later in the period Garland picked up a pass and broke into the Red Wings zone, he got checked but the puck sneaked over to Chytil who went around the Detroit players and put it under the blocker over the pad for his twelfth of the season and his first as a Canucks in his first game as one.
